ToStyle

Words in. Work out.

Software for making art by describing it

Instruments you play with sentences.

Write “a slow waltz for an empty kitchen at 2am” and you get a waltz you can open, cut up and re-voice. Ask for a gig poster the color of a fresh bruise and it arrives in layers, ready for a printer. Then keep talking to it. Stop when it sounds like you meant.

We started with sound and print because that's where our hands were dirtiest. Anything you can describe is in scope.

Fig. 1 Type a line. We set it in three inks and play it back. A toy. The real tools are better.

Our projects

4 slots. 3 filled.

Fermata

Music · Private beta

Describe a track the way you would to a session drummer. Fermata writes it as separate stems. Revise with notes like “less cymbal, more room.”

Proofsheet

Print & illustration · Shipping to studios

Posters, covers and plates from a paragraph. Every file comes out layered, so a designer can still take it apart.

Blocking

Motion · In the workshop

Storyboards from a script page. Change the stage direction and the camera follows.

Unassigned

Next medium is undecided. Pitch us one.

Investor Q&A

Short answers here. Long ones by email.

Q1How do you make money?

We'll take you through the model on a call, with current numbers in front of you. A paragraph on a website would be stale in a month.

Q2Where does the training data come from?

Ask, and we'll go through the sources with you line by line. We expect it to be the first thing a serious investor checks.

Q3Who owns what people make?

Our current terms answer that in writing. We'll send them with everything else.

Q4Why would an artist pick this over a generator?

A generator hands you a finished file and walks away. We hand back stems and layers, so the work can go into a session or a print run.

Q5Are you raising?

Write to investors@tostylegroup.com and we'll tell you where things stand.
